General Assistant (Garden Centre & Nursery)
Suits full time, part time or school hours
The Role
We are looking for active, personable and reliable individuals to join our garden centre team for the Spring/Summer in a varied role.
You will be undertaking work both indoors and outdoors in the garden centre & nursery greenhouses.
Duties will include watering, deadheading, moving stock on trolleys and barrows, unloading and setting down plants, picking and packing plants, potting up/planting, helping customers with their purchases, displaying plants for sale & generally supporting the smooth running of the nursery & garden centre during its busy season with other tasks as needed.
Full training provided. Although this role is advertised as seasonal, it could become permanent for the right candidate.

Requirements
The successful applicant will be self motivated and a positive attitude.
An interest in plants and/or gardening is helpful as there is a lot to learn.
Lifting, bending and pulling/pushing trolleys and working with hoses is required as part of the role so a general level of fitness is desirable.
Salary is subject to skills and experience.
Own transport required.
