Small village 15-20 minutes walk from our home. 2 coffee shops - H’artisan has a room to put your bikes in. St George and Dragon pub overlooks River Thames when you sit in the outdoor eating/drinking area.
Sonning
Small picturesque village just a few miles drive from here. Lovely pub, church and walks along the River. There is also the Mill at Sonning Theatre with a smart bar./cafe open to everyone for lunches and drinks with water wheel inside. The Bull Pub is very old with lovely gardens and food next to church.

Thorpe Park Theme Park (30 to 40km - 20 to 25miles)
Large theme park with rides for children and adults of all ages. Many of the rides - such as Saw, Nemesis Inferno and Quantum - are designed for teens and older children, and have height restrictions. That said, parents with young (or short) children will find plenty to do at Octopus Garden. Busy in school holidays of course, pre booking recommended for better prices.
